My Dad the Scientist

 

Me: So what's going on in this picture?

Dad: Not much - we were in Memphis for a weekend visiting your mother's relatives. I guess her cousins. They were very good hosts. Kept insisting that we should be there an extra day or two. We did not.

Me: Ok...

Dad: In this picture, we were visiting a park and took their car. See the off-white color of their car? They used to drive a Lincoln Continental. After a late heavy dinner at about 11 PM, we left for Houston which was approximately 300 miles away. I drove the whole night. There was a serious weather warning with heavy rain wind and we arrived in Houston at about 1.00 PM. 

Me: Interesting.

Dad: I believe that shirt I had on was a gift from your mother's cousin.
